Organized around the general theme of parables, this is a six-session short-term study series. Each chapter focuses on a particular parable, and features the author telling readers what Jesus was saying through the parable, both to listeners of his day and to us in our own lives.

Anna and Jacob are two young children who live in Bethlehem. One day, they notice from the rooftop of their home that people are flowing into Bethlehem to be counted as directed by the Emperor. Soon they notice that something mysterious, yet important, is happening in a nearby stable, and it involves a young family who is about to have a baby.
